Provides a student-centered approach where learners work together in small groups or pairs to solve problems, create products, or share ideas, rather than passively receiving information from a teacher; grounded in social constructivist theory which emphasizes that learning happens through social interaction and that peers can act as “more knowledgeable others” by explaining concepts, challenging ideas, and providing scaffolding.
